Privacy Policy

What Bee Sharp collects, what it does not, and how to control it.

The short version

Bee Sharp has no accounts, no sign-up and no login. I never ask for your name, your email address or any other personal detail, so I hold no record of who you are.

Your puzzle progress is saved in your own browser, on your own device. It is never sent to me and I cannot see it.

The site does use analytics to count visits, and it carries advertising. Both of those involve cookies, and the sections below explain exactly what that means.

Last updated: August 2026.

Who I am

Bee Sharp is made and operated by Morning Sun Games, a solo-developer independent studio based in the United Kingdom. You can find my other games at morningsungames.co.uk.

For anything in this policy, please get in touch through the contact page.

What is stored on your device

Bee Sharp uses your browser's local storage to remember your game. This is not a cookie and it is never transmitted anywhere. It stays on your device until you clear it.

What gets saved:

You can wipe all of it at any time using Reset Game inside the game's Settings menu, or by clearing your browser's site data. Doing so is permanent, and I cannot restore it for you, because I never had a copy.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to understand how many people play, which pages they visit and roughly where in the world they are. It tells me whether a puzzle was too hard or whether a new page is being read. It does not tell me who you are.

Google Analytics sets cookies and processes an anonymised version of your IP address. You can opt out across all sites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and cookies

Bee Sharp is free to play and is funded by advertising. Adverts are served by third-party partners, including Google.

How third-party advertising cookies work

How to control it

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you will have been shown a consent panel before any advertising cookies were set. You can reopen it at any time using the small privacy icon that appears on screen, and change your choices.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to how it is processed.

In practice, Morning Sun Games does not hold personal data about Bee Sharp players, because I never collect it. Your game data sits on your device and you can delete it yourself at any moment. For the data held by the analytics and advertising partners named above, use the opt-out links above, which are the fastest and most complete route.

If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or your local supervisory authority in the EEA.

Children

Bee Sharp is a word puzzle suitable for a general audience, but it is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect any information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please get in touch and I will act on it.

External links

Some pages link to other websites, for example when explaining a musical term. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and I would encourage you to read their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes I will update the date at the top of this page. Substantial changes to how advertising or analytics work will be noted here rather than made quietly.
